We are Boutique Onze

Here is our story: Jerry and I met at a friend's party and fell in love chatting all night on a tired looking peach coloured leather sofa.

At the time, I was a fashion designer and working for some of Montreal's biggest fashion companies. Jerry was working in fashion retail and had come from generations of clothing retailers and manufacturers. Fashion was in our blood !! We spent a lot of our time talking clothes, making clothes and selling clothes so one night we decided to venture out and start up our own little store. It wasn't much at first but it was located on one of Montreal's most important commerical throughfares. We had more than a couple of options for a name and more than a few debates...it's like naming your baby. In the end, numerology won out: Onze is Eleven in French and it was the sum of the street address of our first store.

Since then we have grown with the help of friends, family, staff and of course our clientele. We know that our customers are at the core of our success and we make every effort to find unique, innovative and creative designers that represent our clientele with their bold and beautiful designs.

We have helped to introduce many international designers to Montreal shoppers but I also wanted to make my store a spotlight for local designers that were struggling to make it. I was once one myself and I know what it’s like to be sewing all night long, taking pictures, making catalogs, contacting potential buyers and lugging samples from store to store hoping that they, too, would love my creations enough to put them in their store.
