Last week I interviewed Natacha Castonguay, a Quebec designer who designs beautiful accessories made out of natural materials, like cotton! Her knotted bracelets and head wraps are now available at Boutique Onze on St-Laurent and soon will be available online!

Studies graphic design at UQUAM and is also a full time mom and artisan.
What do love most about designing accessories?
What I love most about my job, is being able to create everyday and the surprise of not always knowing where it’s going to bring me!
What inspires the creations you design?
I’m inspired by artisanal techniques such as knitting, weaving and hand dying. I’m also very into pastel colors and tie dye this season.

Who is your style icon?
I really like the eclectic style of blogger Madeline Pendleton. When I look at her, I think “this girl can pull off almost anything”!

What Item in your closet can you not live without?
Scarves! I always wear at least one (if not two) with every outfit! Doesn’t matter If it’s winter or summer, I will wear a scarf!
Where do you like to shop?
I shop at Value Village, bazaars, and on Etsy for unique finds! To find basics I sometimes will go to H&M and Zara!
What do you love most about Montreal?
The diversity.
