Yesterday we had the pleasure of hosting a 5 à 7 with Stylist Jessica Dalpé at Onze St-Denis! It was a great evening filled with champaign, snacks and lots of great style advice from our expert Miss Dalpé! Couldn’t make it? Here are some photos from the evening, along with Jessica’s shopping tips to keep in mind when your hitting the stores this season!
Tip1: Jessica’s says it’s important to play up for your best assets! In other words, celebrate your best features! For example, if you are a little wider in the hips, but have a smaller waist, accentuate your waist by wearing a belt! It’s all about balancing your proportions!
Tip 2: Jessica’s says wear colours this season!!! Try wearing colours that brighten up your face, and enhance your natural beauty! If you are not certain what colours look best on you, have fun by trying on colours that have cooler tones, and colours that have warmer tones and see what looks best!
Tip 3: Step out of your comfort zone and take risks with your style! Maybe try a new dress silhouette, or wear a bright colour that you don’t usually wear! You might be pleasantly surprised by the results!
Tip 4: Don’t buy on an impulse! Take your time when you are shopping, and know what colours look good on you, and what silhouettes to invest in for your body type! Also Invest in pieces that you feel reflect your style and make you feel good! Whatever you do, don’t shop when you are in a rush!
Finally, use clothing to enhance your body type and best features! The possibilities are endless. Have fun with different colours, styles and silhouettes!
